Essential Driver Training Lesson Three
Lesson 3 of EDT
Changing Direction
Unlike some driving schools, where at this point they would negatively comment in the logbook that the pupil is struggling because of a lack of practice, we always prefer to talk about the solution and offering support lessons on that particular lesson where the pupil is struggling. This takes the pressure off so that the pupil can concentrate in a non-EDT environment while still covering the same content.
Changing direction would include driving in light conditions to cover:
- Mirror signal and mirror manuuvre routines
- Observation of scanning techniques
- Turning left and right
- Approaching roundabouts
At the end of the lesson, you should be able to show that you can use the mirror signal and mirror maneuver routine, give correct observation and techniques, moving off, turning right, turning left at roundabouts and you should know the blind spots.
This lesson is quite detailed and vehicle control is a must. Changing direction correctly is crucial. Practice is the key, but don't worry, we will ensure that your progress matches your level. We will offer technical support lessons in between to make sure that you're okay with this particular EDT Driving Lesson.
Next is EDT 4: Progression Management.
