Essential Driver Training Lesson Seven
Lesson 7 of EDT
Sharing the Road
As with previous lessons we often find that our pupils who have not had much practice in between lessons often struggle to be successful in relation to the expected outcomes on the lesson.
You should be able to show us that you can enter, cross and join roads safely.
You should know how to park safely on roads whether there are:
- Other road users
- Pass stationary vehicles clearly
- Slow moving vehicles
- Deal with cyclists
- Deal with other road users
And do this at a speed that is safe and shows sufficient courtesy to other road users.
Of course this is about experience. Without practice you can't gain experience so the more you practice, the easier the content of this particular lesson becomes.
Again if you're struggling we advise that you take a support lesson that deals with the same content but is outside of the EDT syllabus.
The next lesson is EDT 8: Driving safely through traffic.
